AmeriCorps

The Handy AmeriCorps Program is a service-based initiative that supports youth ages 11-24 in Broward County through tutoring, mentoring, academic support, career exploration, and workforce readiness services. AmeriCorps Volunteers serve in after-school programming, summer camp, non-school day activities, field trips, and career exposure events.

Volunteers receive training, support, and a biweekly living allowance while completing their term of service. Upon successful completion, eligible AmeriCorps Volunteers may earn a Segal Education Award to support their continued education.
