I have always lived a life of service, which was instilled in me at an early age by my mother, who made it her mission to always care for the orphaned youth in our home country Guyana for all the years that we lived there; and even after we moved to the United States when I was 9. Growing up in the United States has allowed me to have access to so many more opportunities than I would’ve had in Guyana. I was able to attend Florida State University and complete my bachelor’s degree. I plan on continuing my education and getting an MBA. It is now my goal to pick up where my mother left off and ensure that as many people as I can touch has the same access that I was blessed to have. In doing so, I will instill in my two daughters, Aaliyah (15) and Amaia (13), the same values that my mother instilled in me when I was a little girl myself.
