HOMECOMING COURT PROFILE

Julie Blackmore

Julie is a native of Fort Lauderdale where she spent her childhood playing competitive tennis, which ultimately landed her at the Ohio State University on a full athletic scholarship. Following her graduation from Ohio State, Julie moved back to sunny south Florida to attend law school at the University of Miami, where she graduated with honors.

Julie is now a corporate attorney at Holland & Knight’s Fort Lauderdale office, where she specializes in mergers and acquisitions. Julie is an avid sports fan, a diehard Buckeye and a lover of the outdoors – especially the beach (you can take the girl out of Florida but you can’t take the Florida out of the girl). Julie was first introduced to HANDY by its 2019 Prom Queen and friend of Julie’s, Stephanie Stein. Julie assisted HANDY in the strategic alliance with H.O.M.E.S., Inc. in the summer of 2021 and is currently Co-Chair of the HANDY and H.O.M.E.S. Inc. NextGen committee as well as a board member of H.O.M.E.S. Inc. and board liaison of HANDY. Julie is honored to be nominated as a 2022 HANDY Homecoming Queen candidate and is excited to continue to contribute to this amazing organization that is near and dear to her heart.
