Alexia Betances

My name is Alexia Betances, I am a Dependency Case Manager at Childnet, as well as a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at Florida Atlantic University. I am so excited to be one of the homecoming nominees and be able to make a difference within the community and support over 500 children in Broward County. I have also been a HANDY scholar for the past three years, and I have worked with HANDY in the past as the Education Coordinator, where I got to directly work with the HANDY youth through assisting with their education, as well as using my personal experience in the foster care system to inspire them to pursue their goals and dreams. I want to be sure to truly impact the lives of HANDY youth, and I am inspired every day by the work that HANDY does for the youth, and I aspire to do so by being a homecoming nominee. Thank you HANDY for the nomination!
